Of rights the politically correct is a real system of censorship and even self censorship in which the subject is prevented from in thinking or expressing ideas opinions concepts and reasoning that go beyond the aforementioned single thought. The maximum applicator of political correctness is the thought policeman.

The psycho policeman a figure that comes out of Orwellian journalism is precisely the sanctioner of everything that diverges he is the one who imbued with a single Phone Number List politically correct thought literally snags when listening or when reading about social networks of everything that does not conform to the single thought and that has settled and settled within itself.

Beyond liberalism and liberalism But pluralism and more generally liberal democracy is also coming to an end from an economic point of view. In the last years in particular with the disappearance of political ideological counterweight systems to the domination of liberal ideology we are thinking of social communism as of certain.

Got an Email back from Alistair Kirkwood on Thursday, which (although oddly worded) suggests we’re going to get a read-only NFLUK Archive for at least the next year. :)

I'm kinda surprised Kirkwood is still in post and hasn't moved on.  Might be time for a change...

I'm not a big message board man, but I love the Mock Drafts, and it's good to have somewhere to go to get stuff off your chest.

Can't quite believe that NFLUK are walking away from the message board, how is that "growing the game" unless they just mean "we're doing more things that have a direct generation of funds".

Whatever the reasons, it is what it is, and we all disperse in different directions from that site, and hopefully all come back together somewhere.  This seems like the best place to start as it was the back-up for site crashes anyway.

I'm in, post 1 .... done.

I for one was gobsmacked. I mean I know they've been slowly killing the forum for years but I had that down as incompetence rather than an actual plan? Personally I think it's pretty **** dismal when a forum like this one can be put together with whatever is out there in terms of shareware and the multi million pound NFL can't keep one going where you can even be sure of logging in. Frankly, it's a disgrace.

I had a quick look at the Facebook site. It made me feel slightly sick. The video about teams seasons in film clips didn't even make any sense? It's not for me.

NFLFAN looks OK so I'll be on there, at least for a while.

Hi all!

If you’re seeing this post, it means you’ve almost certainly heard the news that NFLUK will be closing down their forum on July 26th. Obviously we have this forum, and there’s others out there (like UKNFLFAN), but losing the official forum for the sport over here is hugely disappointing. I’m one of the many who got into the sport during the big boom of the 1980’s, so I was already well versed in all things NFL when I came across the NFLUK forum many years later, but I have still learnt a great deal from those I’ve interacted with, while discussing the big games as they happen and participating in the annual 7 round Mock Drafts have enhanced my enjoyment of the sport.

Although this place will mostly be used to host future Mock Drafts, there’s no reason why it can’t also be used as a functioning forum in it’s own right. It’s something that I cobbled together in a few minutes, so I’m not pretending it’s anything amazing and I’m not sure what (if any) limitations it might have, but it all seems to run smooth enough (touchwood).

The big issue with the NFLUK forum closing down is that it was where new fans of the sport looking to share their views would have headed. Nobody is just going to stumble across places like this on the off chance, everyone here would have learnt about it from being invited or seeing it mentioned on NFLUK. On that subject, if you have family members/friends who are NFL fans, feel free to bring them onboard.

I mentioned UKNFLFAN earlier in this post, and I can really recommend giving them a try. They have several former (and current) NFLUK members on there, and run several NFL and non-NFL related Fantasy games, as well as having a shoutbox which is usually pretty busy.

It will undoubtedly be an extremely sad day when that fuckwit Qualcomm pulls the plug on NFLUK, which I’m sure he has been itching to do for years, but whether it’s on here, UKNFLFAN or somewhere else, there are alternatives out there. No matter what the morons who are the “powers that be” think, forums are a far better place to discuss the sport than Facebook or Twitter, where 90% of the content consists of copy/pasted links, “hilarious” memes or schoolyard insults. It’s just a crying shame that at a time when the NFL’s popularity over here is thriving, they continue to undermine the loyal fans in every way possible...
